BECA Events for 2022-2023

December 16, 2022 – Scholarship descriptions and Intent to Participate Due, from the Scholarship Providers.

January 7, 2023 – Common Application available online for students to complete

Tuesday, January 24, 2023, 5 to 6:30 pm  Virtual Scholarship Fair, via Zoom

February 17 , 2023– 11:59 pm. Student Applications and Supporting Documents Due to BECA. All submissions are electronic. 

March 1, 2023 – Scholarship Candidates Applications Sent to Providers

April 15, 2023 – Scholarship Decisions Due to Selected Students (Note, not all scholarship providers will meet this deadline)

May 1, 2023  –  Scholarship winners published on this website.

May 11, 2023, Thursday. 4:30 pm. Scholarship Awards Ceremony, USMSM, the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (the former Higher Ed Center on Airport Road, Building 3.)  Any student winning an award that was listed on the BECA application is invited to attend with their guests. The event will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. A photo will be taken of each awarded student and of the entire group. 

Some providers will also hold their own awards events.
